"Zombie" cells

Why do scientists do scary shit? What makes someone think to mess what Jesus' dad created? A while ago Geekologie informed those who are too lazy to read the news, "scientists have created "zombie" cells in the laboratory that can outperform living ones."

The Huffington Post newspaper wrote:

The silica replicants can survive greater pressures and temperatures than flesh, and perform many functions better than the original cells did when alive.

Heating the silica to around 400C evaporates the protein in the cell, but leaves the silica as a three-dimensional replica of the "formerly living being", Hess said

OH THANK YOU!!! Please just kill us now won't you. Please work on this further and see what kind of nightmarish creatures you will create. I do think science does wonderful advancements for the living, but some times things need to thought about before actually creating something that could harm us.
